Terms & Conditions / Privacy Policy

By submitting your booking, you understand and agree to be bound by the Terms & Conditions described herein and all terms incorporated by reference. 

 

BOOKINGS / PAYMENT/ FEES 

  • Full payment will be required to lock down your preferred booking time slot.

  • All bookings, correspondence and requests must be made through the booking page.

  • All sessions will begin and end at stipulated time slots. This is to ensure that riding time slots are fully utilised. 

 

CANCELLATION / BOOKING CHANGE / REFUND POLICY

  •  We understand plans change and we’d be happy to assist with your reschedule as follows

    • At least 48 hours before your booking date: you are allowed to reschedule your booking once without incurring any additional charges.  Your rescheduled booking must be made within 4 months from your original booking date. We may charge a reschedule fee of 15% of the fees paid if you reschedule more than once.    

    • Less than 48 hours before your booking date: it will be difficult for us to find someone to fill your slot. In such an event, you may transfer your booking to someone else, but you will not be entitled to any refund. 


 

  • While fees on bookings and packages paid are not refundable, we may provide you with credits or refunds in the event that we are unable to proceed with your session because of inclement weather (e.g. poor visibility, Lightning) or any other reasons beyond our reasonable control (e.g. engine breakdown).

  

SAFE MANAGEMENT MEASURES 

Your safety is our priority at all times. As such, all customers are to comply with Safe Management Measures issued by Authorities at the time of booking/ session. 

 

  • Number of people per session (as per Government regulations permitted on your date of booking)

  • Safe distancing measures 

  • Masks to be worn at all times except during riding

  • Safe entry via Trace Together on NewWave boat

  • We reserve the right to stop or cancel the session if any participants do not adhere to the regulations and/or are showing Covid-19 symptoms.

  • Customers are to declare that they have not travelled overseas in the last 14 days, do not have any signs of Covid-19 symptoms, have not been in contact or live with any confirmed Covid-19 person and are not under any Stay Home Notice. 

 

NewWave reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event that any changes are made, the revised terms and conditions shall be posted on our website immediately. So please do check out our website for up to date information or also promotion plans. 


 

Health Declaration, Assumption of risk and liability 

By participating in wakesurfing, wakeboarding or any water sports (the “Activities”) with NewWave, 

 

  1. You hereby declare that you are physically fit. You do not, and have not, suffered from any of the following conditions, which you understand may lead to a dangerous situation with regard to other persons or myself during the activities:

    • Epilepsy fits, severe head injury, recurrent blackouts or giddiness, disease of the brain or nervous system, high blood pressure, lung or heart disease, recurrent weakness or dislocation of any limb, diabetes, mental illness, drug or alcohol addiction, recent back injury, arthritis and severe joint sprains, chronic bronchitis, asthma, rheumatic fever, thyroid adrenal or other glandular disorder, recent blood donation or any condition that requires the regular use of drugs.You hereby declare that you have no physical or mental condition that should preclude you from participating in my chosen activity, that you are not participating against medical advice or treatment, and that you have not been diagnosed by a registered doctor as having a terminal illness.

  2. You hereby declare that you have no physical or mental condition that should preclude you from participating in my chosen activity, that you are not participating against medical advice or treatment, and that you have not been diagnosed by a registered doctor as having a terminal illness.

  3. By proceeding with a booking, you voluntarily choose to participate in the Activities. You agree to be responsible for your own safety and well-being while participating in the Activities and will be solely responsible for any costs incurred if medical treatment is necessary. You understand that participation in the Activities is potentially dangerous and involves a risk of serious injury, death and/or property damage. You assume full responsibility for any such risk. Such risk includes:

    • Tides, currents, wave action and boat wakes;

    • Capsizing, sinking and collision of the boat with other participants, watercrafts, manmade and/or natural objects that may result in injury and drowning;

    • Weather conditions that include rain, extreme wind and hot temperature that can result in chills, sunburn and dehydration;

    • Balance on wakeboard, ability to operate equipment, swim and/or follow directions;

    • Health, physical condition;

    • Presence of insects and marine life forms;

    • Equipment failure or operator error;

    • Increased risk of an accident

  4. You waive, release and discharge NewWave Pte Ltd and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively NewWave), from any and all claims and liabilities of any kind arising from or related to my participation in the Activities. You agree to waive and release any and all claims based upon negligence, active or passive, with the exception of intentional, wanton, or willful misconduct that I may have in the future against all releasees i.e. officers, directors, employees, representatives, agents, volunteers, and vessels.

You have read the above Declarations, understand them, and by proceeding with the booking, I agree to be bound by them.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

By making a booking with NewWave, you agree to provide personal data such as, but not limited to the following:

  • Full name;

  • Residential address;

  • Identity card number;

  • Payment details, such as credit card and banking information;

  • Contact details, such as telephone number or email address;

 

The above personal data which NewWave collects may be used, disclosed and/or processed:

  • To provide the services, including arranging of bookings, updating of activities and providing updates to our services.

  • To comply with any law or requirements of any regulatory authority.

  • To provide information and/or updates related to NewWave’s programmes, products and services, marketing campaigns, promotions, benefits, and events by SMS, phone, email, fax, mail, website, social media and/or any other appropriate communication channels.

  • To administer and process any payments related to programmes, products, services and/or trainings requested.

  • To detect, investigate and prevent fraudulent, prohibited or illegal activities and to analyse and manage commercial risk.

  • To market, publicize and advertise promotional materials and website.

  • To share with any third parties whom we may engage to assist in any of the above activities.
